Discover the nature of Pärnumaa, relax your senses on a bog or coastal hike, and enjoy a traditional smoke sauna experience.

Wiire hiking and sauna packages take you into the beautiful nature of Pärnumaa and end with a deeply relaxing smoke sauna experience.

Evening and night sauna experiences with a hike start between 6:00 PM and 9:00 PM. After the hike, a warm smoke sauna is ready for you, followed by a calm and restoring evening.

Hiking Packages

Lindi Bog Hike

Duration: 1.5–2 hours

This hike is suitable for anyone who enjoys moderate activity, wide natural views, and learning about bog life. The hike is done using summer or winter raquettes, which help you walk on soft and wet ground. Trekking poles support your balance.

Before the hike, the guide will explain how to use the raquettes, and then we set off to experience the tranquility of the bog.

Seasonal availability:

Bog hikes are offered in autumn, winter, and summer
15 April – 24 June: No bog hikes to respect the birds’ nesting season

On this hike, you will see how a vast bog landscape opens up just a stone’s throw from the road. We’ll explore the plants and animals that live in the bog and learn about how bogs are formed.

Hike program:

Starts with breathing and mindfulness exercises
Calm-paced walk through dunes, forest, and bog
Fun awareness exercises: “Peripheral Vision”, “Sharp Ear”, “Darkness Challenge”, “Sniffer”
Small savory picnic on the hike (meat pie or savory pastry) with tea or broth

The goal is to reach presence and mindfulness through personal experience. At the end, participants receive tips on how to maintain this feeling in daily life.

Valgeranna Forest and Dunes Hike

Duration: 1.5–2 hours

This hike along Valgeranna’s forest and coastal trails offers varied landscapes, proximity to the sea, shifting light and shadow, and a deep connection with the trees. We will also talk about coastal ecology and how human activity has shaped Valgeranna over the centuries. A visit to a local nature heritage site is included.

Timing: Evening before the sauna (depending on the season: sunset, twilight, or starry sky)

Hike program:

Breathing and mindfulness exercises
Calm-paced walk
Fun awareness exercises: “Forest or Sea”, “Completely Dark”, “Tastes like…?”, “Everyone Finds Their Own”
Small savory picnic on the hike (meat pie or savory pastry) with tea or broth

The goal is to experience your surroundings with all senses and notice contrasts in nature.

Smoke Sauna Experience

A smoke sauna awaits you – the oldest type of sauna in Estonia, with roots reaching far back into history.

Wiire Holiday Farm’s century-old smoke sauna was originally built in 1921 in Võrumaa. It can accommodate up to 12 people at a time and offers an authentic experience of traditional Estonian sauna practices.

The smoke sauna is renowned for its gentle steam, physical and mental restorative effects, and unique healing atmosphere. It is one of the most archaic and traditional forms of sauna, often called the “mother of all saunas.”

The rituals of the smoke sauna – now guided as part of the experience – are listed in the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage register.

Evening Smoke Sauna Package

Step into our sauna and enter a world where time stands still. With the host’s introduction, you will experience traditional sauna practices that nurture the body, refresh the soul, and fill you with warmth and peace. Every moment here is a gift for your body, mind, and inner balance – a true experience that stays with you long after the sauna ends.

Package includes:

Heated smoke sauna
Optional introduction by the host about the history, customs, and use of the smoke sauna
Opportunity to take steam and use the sauna whisk
Warm water on the stove and cold water in the barrel
Swimming in the pond or, in winter, in the ice hole
Honey, herbal salt, and 2 fresh birch whisks in summer / dried whisks in winter
Herbal tea or flavored water
Fruit bowl (2 kg)
Sauna time: up to 5 hours, until the stones cool
